Zhangjiajie official website · Avatar Mountains
This is the official website of the Zhangjiajie park authority’s private guide and concierge service. Our licensed English-speaking local guides plan your whole trip, walk every trail with you, prepare official tickets, reduce waiting and translate everything.
The park authority’s official guiding service — every guide holds a current Chinese national tour-guide credential.
¥1,000 per day for a private guide, ¥2,000 with a private car and driver — per group, not per person.
Hotels, restaurants, tickets, trains, pharmacies, SIM cards — if a licensed guide can legally arrange it, we handle it.
No forms, no prepayment. You talk to a real guide on WhatsApp from the first message.
Both are private — your group only. Both include full trip planning on WhatsApp before you arrive.

Plan by place
Start with three areas that feel completely different, then use the detailed guides for routes, tickets, walking time and transport.

Avatar Mountains
The pillar landscape associated with Avatar, including the Southern Sky Column and high cliff-edge viewpoints.

Sea of peaks
Broad sandstone panoramas, cloud inversions and one of the strongest sunrise areas in the Wulingyuan landscape.

Valley trail
A mostly level 7.5 km forest-and-stream walk beneath the pillars, suited to a slower park day.

Choose the pace and emphasis first; a licensed local guide can then build a coherent route around it.

Routes matched to walking ability, weather and the day’s queue pattern.

Light, mist, viewpoint direction and realistic sunrise timing.

Cableways, elevators, rest stops and private transport for families and seniors.

Tujia and Hunan dishes, ordering help and restaurants beyond picture menus.
Tell us your dates, group size and what you dream of seeing. We answer personally, usually within a few hours.
We propose an itinerary with realistic timings, entrance tickets at official prices and honest advice on what to skip.
Your guide meets you at your hotel, the airport or the railway station — you confirm every detail in advance.
We handle queues, tickets, transport, food and translation while you enjoy the mountains.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park covers 48 km² with multiple entrances, internal bus lines, cable cars and one 326-metre elevator. Wrong turns cost hours.
On peak days the Bailong Elevator and cableways queue for 1–3 hours. Locals know when and where to go instead.
Outside hotels, English signage and English-speaking staff are limited. Menus, tickets and buses are mostly Chinese-only.
Park tickets are ID-linked and quotas apply in high season. We make sure your passports and slots are sorted before you travel.
The postcard shots — and the quiet platforms tour groups never reach — are not on the standard route maps.
Tianmen Mountain, the Glass Bridge, Baofeng Lake, Fenghuang Ancient Town: we plan the whole region, not just one gate.
Visas & entry
Citizens of 55 countries can currently spend up to 240 hours — ten full days — in China without a visa when transiting to a third country. Hunan Province, home of Zhangjiajie, is inside the permitted area. Here is exactly how the policy works and how to turn it into the trip of a lifetime.

You can visit Zhangjiajie independently — thousands do. But the park’s scale, its queue dynamics, ID-linked ticketing and near-total absence of English mean a licensed private guide changes what you actually see per day. Here is the honest case, including when you do not need us.

Arrive at the right gate
Airport, railway stations, Zhangjiajie city, Wulingyuan and the forest-park entrances are separate places. Check the exact Chinese destination before entering a taxi.
